Ingredients

  • 275g (0,6lb) puff pastry*

  • 100g (1 cup) brown sugar

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F );

  2. Unwrap the puff pastry;

  3. Sprinkle half of the sugar on the puff pastry, then spread it around evenly using your hands;

  4. Using a rolling pin apply a gentle force to press the sugar into the pastry;

  5. Flip the pastry and repeat the same process using the other half of the sugar;

  6. Roll the left side of the pastry toward the middle, then do the same with the other side;

  7. Trim off the uneven ends of the pastry and slice it into 12 parts;

  8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the cookies on top;

  9. Bake for 15 min until they are golden brown.

Notes

* I bought it as it is but you can make your own vegan puff pastry if you want.
