This is probably the cheapest and easiest snack to make. The recipe is actually italian but I adeed my own twist to it. After trying the first batch you'll want to bake the second one straight away. I know something about it.

Ingredients

  • 100g (3,5 oz/0.6 cups) chickpea flour

  • 50g (1,8 oz/0.3 cups) corn flour*

  • 600ml (20fl oz/2.5 cups) water

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • Chives

Method

  1. Pour water in a pot and bring to boil;

  2. Add chickpea flour, corn flour, salt, black pepper and chives finely cut;

  3. Whisk all of the ingredients together well to ensure that there are no lumbs**, about 2-3 mins;

  4. Take the pot off the heat and adjust the salt content to your taste;

  5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour the mixture on top;

  6. Evenly spread the mixture on a baking tray and let it rest for 30 mins;

  7. Preheat oven to 200 °C (400 °F)

  8. Once the mixture is cold, using a knife or a pizza cutter, cut it into rectangular pieces;

  9. Bake it in the oven for 30-40 mins until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Notes

* The one you would use to make polenta
**You can use a high speed blender to remove the lumbs
